During Donald Trump's presidency, US foreign policy towards Iran, characterized by the 'maximum pressure' campaign, escalated towards military confrontation. This campaign raised fundamental questions about the logical culmination of the crisis: would it lead to collapse, negotiation, or war? This research employs Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to examine a key speech by Trump in which a large-scale military attack on Iranian nuclear facilities was announced. The primary objective is to deconstruct the linguistic, narrative, and ideological strategies employed to justify this military action and construct a narrative of absolute victory and post-attack conditions. The discourse analysis, using Fairclough's three-dimensional model, reveals four key discursive strategies. The first strategy is justification through a retributive narrative, framing the attack as a necessary and righteous response to forty years of Iranian 'malevolence'. The second is the display of absolute power and complete victory, employing hyperbolic language. The third involves extreme personalization of decision-making, attributing the action to Trump's individual will. The final strategy is coercive diplomacy, characterized by an ultimatum to Iran. This speech frames a military action as an act of justice and historical necessity, vividly reflecting the 'America First' ideology and demonstrating how language is utilized to legitimize violence and circumvent international norms.
