Political communication constitutes the foundational nexus between citizens, political actors, and the media, serving as a critical vehicle for political socialization and the maintenance of systemic trust. This study seeks to identify and analyze the driving forces shaping the future of political communication through the lens of qualitative content analysis. Methodologically, the research follows a tripartite process: first, qualitative data were elicited via semi-structured interviews with subject-matter experts; second, these data underwent rigorous open coding and subsequent categorization; and third, an interpretive synthesis was performed to derive theoretical insights. Utilizing purposive sampling, the study reached theoretical saturation with a final dataset yielding 28 primary codes. These findings were distilled into four overarching categories: the institutional power structure and party dynamics; the political economy of news media; the prevailing levels of political trust; and the intersection of identity politics with social media expansion. The analysis indicates a significant shift in the communicative environment, suggesting that populism—as a strategic mode of political communication—is likely to emerge as the predominant discourse in the foreseeable future.
