The 2024 Iranian presidential election served as a platform for discursive conflict over the management of economic crises. The present study aims to uncover hidden ideological layers in Masoud Pezeshkian's speech by conducting a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of his economic programs presented on the "Economic Roundtable" television show. The research methodology is qualitative and based on Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional model, encompassing the levels of description, interpretation, and explanation. Findings at the description level indicate that the candidate—through a high frequency of terms such as "expert" and "science" and the utilization of medical metaphors (the economy as an "ailing body")—attempts to depoliticize the economy and reduce it to a technical matter. At the interpretation level, analysis suggests that through intertextual references to the Nahj al-Balagha and high-level policy documents, he provides religious legitimacy to a market economy while positioning himself not as a program designer, but as an executor of the law. Results at the explanation level reveal that Pezeshkian’s discourse—by redefining the subject of the "President" from a "savior hero" to a "coordinator" and synthesizing justice-seeking signifiers with scientific management—seeks to construct a form of "sacred technocracy." This discursive strategy, by managing expectations and abdicating direct responsibility, attempts to transcend common political polarizations and unite various social classes under a hybrid discourse of tradition and modernity.
