The diversity and multiplicity of media and messages are some of the aspects that distinguish a networked society from a mass society. The value of information and news in a networked society has caused actors to present fake news with different motives and in accordance with their goals. Therefore, detecting reliable news is one of the biggest challenges for media users. Since the historical form of news has always existed from the past to the present, the historical experience of human encounter with news can be used to overcome the aforementioned challenge. One of the most important of these experiences in the field of Islamic culture is the way scholars encounter religious news (Hadith). Religious scholars have developed diverse and coherent methods for evaluating Hadith in their interaction with religious news, relying on the teachings of the infallibles (PBUH). This research, using the method of "implicative research" and employing the concept of "interrogation" of Martyr Sadr, reveals the latent capacities in the sciences of hadith studies for distinguishing true and fake news, and thus presents a model for validating media news. According to this model, news is examined from two perspectives: documentary and textual. In documentary validation, the source of the news and the narrator are assessed based on the criteria of source and narrator studies. In text validation, the text of the news is assessed and the contexts of its issuance are examined based on the established standards.
